Grandpa Ott Morning Glory
Classic morning glory. Covers itself with flowers. Vines are extremely vigorous, up to 15 ft., and are literally covered with small, dark purple-blue flowers up to 3" across, with a red star at the throat. Thought to be originally from Bavaria, this is probably the easiest morning glory you can grow, and it will self sow even in cold climates.

Scarlett O Hara Morning Glory
One of the first All-America Selections winners. Fast-growing, 8-10 ft. vines with attractive foliage and cheerful rosy 3-4" flowers. Very dramatic and covers fences, arbors and porch posts. Easy to grow. Grows best in full sun.

Heavenly Blue Morning Glory
HEIRLOOM. The classic morning glory! Magnificent 4–5" cheerful blooms are bright sky blue. Fast-growing, climbing large vines are spangled with dazzling azure blue trumpet blooms, complemented by attractive heart-shaped foliage. Easy-growing plants start the florific show in early fall.

Sowing Directly in the Garden
Morning glory seeds have tough coats, so nick them with a nail file and soak overnight for better germination. Plant directly in sunny, average soil after frost risk passes, providing support for the vines. Avoid containers; morning glory prefers poor soil. Prepare by weeding and adding organic matter, then sow thinly, covering lightly. Keep soil moist; seedlings appear in 7-21 days.
