- Deep crimson to near-black flowers
A waterlily dahlia with showy deep crimson flowers deepening to near-black in the centre. Plants are perennial and up to 1.2m tall; they flower prolifically from summer to autumn. Use in borders or beds or as an excellent cut flower.
Waterlily dahlias have cup-shaped flowers and rounded petals arranged in four to seven regular layers, similar to a waterlily. The flowers are medium sized (under 16cm across).
Note: 'Black Embers' is sometimes classified as a decorative type and has also been listed as a cactus type.
